We skied the same location the day before and overnight there was significant wind loading on the North facing slopes especially near the ridgeline. We saw one new cornice fall as a result, 30 width and 2 feet deep and slide of 100 ft.

Snowpack

Ultra light snow in wind shelter areas. The front range of the Bear River's received 23 to 26 inches of snow on the Christmas storm. We skied steep trees (35 to 40 degrees) on a north facing slope with only minor sluffing with in the new light snow.
