With the current decreased hazard we took advantage of some cruisy alpine riding! We chose to ride in non-wind affected north and east facing terrain where the snow was best and surface crust was minimal. We rode slopes up to 35 degrees in steepness and saw no signs of instability in the area other than a few size 1 loose dry avalanches out of very steep terrain. In our snow profile at 2100m we found total snowpack height of 240cm along with a series of buried crusts down 55 - 85cm. We had no significant results with our extended column test.
