Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

I had been skiing down southern aspects for a few hours from wolf creek bridge down to hwy108 and had not noticed any instability's in the snow however as I was almost back to hwy 108 I came across a part of a southern aspect that was shaded by a small cornice and most likely was getting very little sun exposure all day. When skiing across the area a slab roughly 1.5-2 meters across very clearly broke and it appeared like it began to slide about a foot however as soon as the fracture reached the sun exposed areas it came to a sudden stop preventing an actual slide. While sun exposed southern aspects seemed to be very stable today continue to be cautious on shaded areas especially on the northern aspects
