Wind crust and powder patches. Poor coverage of boulders. Point release from higher cliffs

Avalanche

Skied to Mint Hut and around Mint Glacier. Possible to ski through the lower boulder fields. Saw old avalanches in several places, looked to be point release from higher cliffs warming in the sun. Tried to ascend a couloir near spearmint, pit test showed sudden planer collapse of the 8 inch wind slab on tap 11, decided to ski lower angle instead. Decent powder on the glaciers but nowhere else.
