Actively snowing with poor visibility. Approached hatch peak along the ridge line from Willow fishhook road. About 3 inches new, dry snow. Temps in the teens with no wind. No recent warming or wind events. Thin coverage and ice on the ridge with minimal wind slab. Transitioned at the weather station then traversed skiers right and down about 20’. Had two fractures with small slides about 1 foot deep followed by a whumpf. No visibility to see down slope. Ascended to the ridge line and boot packed the ridge out. From the bottom when the clouds lifted we could see a narrow avy path skiers right of hatch peak.
