Quick report

Day 1 toured into Bomber via Glacier Creek, over Higher Spire and out lake loop. Seems like fresh snow accumulation increases the farther back you go. From 6" in archangel to over 12" in bomber drainage. Day 2 toured from Bomber up the Wintergreen and dropped into Sobriety glacier. Fresh, low density snow increasing from 12 to 16" on the way up the Wintergreen. Almost knee deep under Montana peak -- most of the face had already sluffed and was in deep runnel piles near the bergschrund. Skied down south east chute after downclimbing a small ice pitch near the top. Slightly sugary snow up top is a sign of sun rounding. Rest was so deep it skied like Japow trees. Skied over onto mint glacier and out that evening. Lots of sun affect in Mint drainage. I would estimate sun affect range is +- 30 degrees of south. The sun is a deadly laser!
