Ascended $1000 towards Hatch Peak. Cut right just below $1000 ridge towards Bennets to loop around the scoured ridge line and continue towards the wx station. Experienced loud whumf on the short climb up the SE aspect of Bennets Ridge. Crack propagated along the ridge for 70ish feet. Dug a hasty pit on a NE aspect near Hatch wx station with no concerning findings. Descent on shady side of hatch was tricky with supportable crust, mostly breakable crust and patches of soft snow.
