Overall variable conditions, from a stability perspective and a ski quality perspective. Northern facing aspects that were not wind stripped in the early season have a large facet layer near the bottom that failed when isolating an extended column test, however this problem appeared to be relativly isolated spatially. Above tree line and more southernly facing slopes did not have the same layer or problem likely due to wind or sun stripping the old snow before last weeks storm. ECTPV was noted on a northern facing slope below tree line on aspects that were not wind stripped of early season snow.
