Fair bit of Snow was being transported during my tour.

west winds created some brand new small cornices on sub ridges from west winds (crossloading). tracks filling in rapidly (guessing 30 minutes). wind direction was s to nw but mainly wnw. max speed about 25 mph. wind slabs developing on emma ridges.

Storm slab seemed healed up imo. I dug 1 pit that was south facing 9700' . pit was solid, old snow new snow interface (20" down) seem glued in well( I did not dig any n pits). 2 density changes in top 6". ect neg. My thoughts and opinions are probably not real accurate.

Alta was indeed closed to uphill trafic today. Thanks uac for the heads up on alta closure and recent guidance/sudo advisories which were real accurate.

Wind slabs were definitely being created today. Plenty of snow avail for transport and winds are forcasted to blow tonight too. For this reason I'm thinking pockety, manageable considerable tommorow depending on how much wind.

slight inversion on top 1 to 2" deep, very good riding. best of week.
