Quick report
- Cracking
- isolated
We enjoyed a sunny day North of Bridger Bowl Ski Area boundary. Winds were blowing from the west on and near the ridge only transporting small amounts of snow.
We dug in three different spots and found buried surface hoar in all of our three pits that has formed before the last storm. The slab that is sitting on top is still shallow and did not show unstable test results. Our test resulted in no propagation but initiated a crack on a layer of near surface facets that is buried about a foot from the surface (ECTN28).
In obvious wind-loaded pockets we observed isolated cracking. We did not observe any recent avalanches or collapsing.
