Quick report

We rode up to Henderson Bench and dug a pit near the last switchback of the road. We did not find any concerning layers in our pit. Many ECTNS. There is an interesting, well preserved,10cm (4") thick layer of 2-4mm graupel buried 3 feet deep from mid-December. This layer did not collapse or propagate in ECTs or CTs and stayed stuck to the slab above when the ECT column tipped over. We did not see recently buried weak facets, but that doesn't mean they're not on some slopes out there.

It has been snowing lightly all day with light to moderate winds and  mostly cloudy skies. Temps around 30 F.

1-2" of snow accumulated around Henderson Bench. Yesterday we observed surface hoar on Abundance which might be presereved under today's snow.
