Red Flags Comment
<p>1.5 to 2.5 mm rounded sintered facets in the basal layer from 5 to 10 cm thick at this data point. Not really an issue but I list it as it's the persistent layer we are all tracking.</p>

Dug this pit right next to the skin track which was directly in the line of fire for that slide path. I know stability is good but considering the spatial variability of the deep slab persistent layer, and the high consequence of an event, I would suggest better skin track setting practices (it's no more work to set a proper track).

Instability Comment
<p>Low probability due to the necks and bounds forming in the rounded facet layer at the ground (old depth hoar). CT29 Non-Planar Break in this sintered basal facet layer. Measured a 10 degree C temperature gradient over the 1.05 meter snowpack. This is in the zone for more faceting, we'll see how cold and for how long. This is being offset by the compressive force of the snow above compacting this layer.</p>
