Quick report
We observed a trace of snow at the center ridge parking lot at 9:45 am . There was a thick crust on the lower skin track that wat breakable. On the return at 2 pm that crust was completely thawed. Preformed a hand shear at 2200 ft and 2800 ft. on a north aspect. Both were hard shears. There was about 2 inches of new snow on a thin curst. Digging a bit further, found crust 50 cm down. The snow above and below seemed to be bonding to the crust. Skiing form the top of Tincan common to the west was dust on suportable curst. The northern aspect had less of a crust and skied OK. The lower elevation to the west from aprox. 2200 ft. to 1600 ft. at 1:30 pm was suportable fun soft if you stayed light on the feet. Skies were cloudy most of the day untill we returned to the parking lot. There were a few gusts of SW winds on the ridge but no blowing snow observed. Overall stability seemed good but we skied mostly low angle terrain.
