Quick report
Took advantage of the afternoon clearing after the recent atmospheric river event and went for a road obs in south fork eagle river to assess the damage. Observed six natural avalanches that appeared to have released over the past 24 hrs during the storm. Two of the avalanches seemed to have failed near the ground on the prolific basal facets that plague the region. Throughout the drive clouds were clearing with light to moderate winds. ~3cm of fresh snow accumulated on the road above 1600', slick ice below that.
