Snowpack
Small surface hoar observed up to our highpoint around 12,800 or 12,900. The majority of snow surfaces that we traveled on were smooth and firm from previous winds, with a couple cm's of soft snow and the surface hoar on top. Of course, variability is the key caveat as there is a lot of variation in the snow surfaces given the long dry period. Not a lot to report. Quiet, and no notable avalanche concerns were encountered.
