Collapsing
widespread

Not wanting to miss the sun, I took a tour along Muktuk Marsten to see if there were any wabbits or little birdies. I experienced a variable snowpack that was basically all impacted by wind or sun and mostly very shallow. I experienced 20+ collapses throughout my tour, both on the trail and lower in the valley. Most of these were small and isolated; several were much larger. I found some very pleasant turns from the trail down to the valley floor, keeping things low angle and fun. There was a noticeable crust that could be grabby at times, but softened throughout the day on solar aspects, and found softer snow down in the valley floor, where it was protected from wind and rays.
