We completed an ECT test around 9000ft found about 8" of new snow and a total of 140cm. Or test was on a 40° north facing aspect. During the test the column did ok on compaction it vertically collapsed around 13 but did not break away. Column stayed standing through impacts but with minimal pressure behind the column it failed. There is still about 8" of facets at the bottom with a well bound pack above it. So when it broke it was in big heavy slabs.
