Quick report
Traveled into the beating heart of the Sperry District in search of a unique vantage point for observing recent avalanche activity. Slides were abundant and we enjoyed tremendous views of Glacier's high country. *Please be advised that the Going-to-the-Sun Road is in rough shape for the last mile above Sprague CG at this time. Many deep rattling potholes in the unpaved section. Take it slow or you might get a core shot in your Camry. Widespread loose wet avalanche activity.

Bright, Sunny, Very Warm
Snowpack
Most of the snowpack on southerlies has vanished up to roughly 5500', However we were able to skin and ski to 4400' by utilizing W-NW facing terrain at lower-mid elevations. Approx 1.5m snowpack at upper elevations west facing, although we experienced a lot of HS variability as our travel was confined tightly to the ridgeline.

Recent avalanches observed on all aspects of the compass into upper elevations. Slides observed were predominantly on south facing, however there were several slides seen on north facing slopes as well. The largest north facing event seen was on Nyack Mountain in the Flathead Range. I believe this to be the same slide previously reported on 3/17. I was able to photograph a different vantage that helps demonstrates the scale of this very large hard slab avalanche.
