Quick report
Sadly, today was my first day this season patrolling without ski boots on. Traveled up the Sperry Trail to continue cleaning up after the late February winds. Deleted all the deadfall on the Sperry/Mount Brown Trail up to about 4700'. I regret to inform that it is no longer possible to skin from the Lodge. Good snowline is estimated to be 5500'-6000' on southerlies in this valley. Patchy and thin depending on a combination of aspect and canopy below 5500'. Recent avalanches observed on Mount Stanton and Mount Vaught at 830am this morning. The Stanton avalanches were not reported by FAC on the 16th, so I estimate the timing to have been later on the 16th or on the 17th. The Vaught slides are the same as those previously reported by FAC, although I think some additional hang fire may have released.
