Looks like December coverage, skis like April. •Overcast skies broke around 1100 and gave way to powerful sunshine which affected any solar aspects top-to-bottom (ie rollerballs/trees dripping/chirping birds) •The solar input from Saturday left a very thin M/F crust on the surface of most S/W aspects. In shaded terrain we found dense powder and overall optimal skiing conditions. •Winds at upper elevations were calm with light gusts. No snow transport was occurring anywhere along the FH crest. •Overnight, a dusting of snow had partially filled in existing skinners. Of note, the tracks that were visible on Mt Adams (saturday), had been filled in and were hard to see. Assuming light snow accumulation and recent winds were responsible. •On our descent, we skied a W aspect and the aforementioned M/F crust was beginning to break down and create a wet surface. We did find dry snow on small NW folds within the topography. •Numerous D1-2 wet loose slides were observed in the Sheep and Essex Creek drainage, all originating in steep, rocky, solar prone terrain. Surface instability was occurring from rapid warming (ie rollerballs and trees dripping up to 7500' W)
