Stability test at approximately 6200 feet on a south/south east slope ECT 20 no propagation at about (10 cm)155 cm from the base total snow pit 165 Weather winds calm overcast and some fog. 5 to 10 cm new snow overnight While we ascended, noticed light transport on Ridge lines. No signs of recent Avalanche us no cracking moving No other instability red flags Shovel shear test successful at the persistent week layer from early December approximately 80 cm from the ground. Had to pull on it fairly hard to make it pop and was clean sheer. As we descended the south facing slope noticed old roller balls from solar heating. Skiing got more difficult with a 5 cm zipper crust/sun crust with new snow on surface. Loud pow.
