- <p>Cornices in places we have never seen them before, some very big, and while starting to get old now, still not to be trusted </p> <p>heating on new snow did promote some rollers and even small wet slides south facing steep slopes, with continued heating, would expect that to continue, but easily managed by getting off or from underneath before max heating for the day. </p>
still able to find excellent settled snow on N facing sheltered slopes, faceting apparent, and some areas of large surface hoar although not widespread, did make for some loud powder turns today. Heat is getting to sun exposed flats, W/S/E slopes and forming crusts. We continue to enjoy a stable snowpack, and concerns shift to faceted snow on surface, ahead of next storm when it comes
