Observed a stable snowpack below 4000'. Above 4000' thin wind slabs were present and stubborn to triggers. Snowpack was thin and faceted in the alpine with propagation present in stability tests (ECTP23 down 55cms)
Very small shooting cracks were observed in thin pockets of wind slab above 4000'Weather

Fairly strong inversion -10F at the road , probably in the teens above 4000'. Clear and Calm.
Snowpack
Found 6-8 inches of uncoheive snow well bonded to the Thanksgiving rain crust. Signs of wind redistribution showed up above 4k and was minimal. Thanksgiving rain crust started to fade around 4400' where I turned around but was still present. Significant Surface hoar development below 4000' (2-4mm).
A snowpit at ~4200' revealed a much thinner and more faceted snowpack than what has been found in closer proximity to Thomson Pass in the Intermountain zone. Structure was fair to poor, strength was fair and propagation was present in stability tests (ECTP23 down 55cms). See snowpit profile attached for more detail.
