Avalanche Information

We triggered a deposition pile of dry-loose that was sitting on the upper apron just below the two prominent couloirs on the north face of mt French (hole in the wall) whilst skinning up the apron towards the couloirs; failed on underlying crust/stiff wind slab. Crown was ~100cm deep for about 5m and then shallow either side for the rest of the length. Caught and carried two skinners in the party and the third was not caught. 1 skier carried 70 vertical metres and deployed abs airbag. Other splitboarder carried 50-ish vertical metres. Both on surface. Debris not deep enough for burial. Only poles lost in slide, all recovered. No injuries. We turned around and went home.
