Quick report
The storm snow seems to be well bonded to the old snow. Several test slopes did not produce cracking or collapsing. South facing aspects were moist, and several few roller balls and pin wheels from yesterday were observed in Horse Creek.

-
More views of last weeks natural avalanche cycle on northerly aspects in Gold Basin. Evidence of more recent wind loading from the NW was subtle but present. Somewhat surprisingly, exposed ridge lines near treeline had little wind effect and as of ~1pm, winds were calm.

While a deeper snowpack and more moderate temperatures are probably helping weak layers gain strength, a myriad of facets, depth hoar and on southerly aspects, crust-facet-combos are likely still present as shown in recent snowpack tests. "Repeat-offender" slide paths are one of the more likely places to find weak faceted snow.
