Quick report

Second hand report: 9200' E aspect. Avalanche was triggered remotely on snowmobiles in flat terrain from around 1000' away (a surprisingly far distance). Avalanche failed near the ground on 12 inches of facets with a crown depth of around 2-2.5 feet and estimated 700' wide. Large propagation across almost the entire slope which appeared to be previously wind loaded. For those that frequent the area, this is the slope right up next to the wilderness boundary just west of ski lake. Party was intentionally avoiding steep terrain and was aware of the current avalanche conditions.
