We observed whoomphing under our skis on the ridge of avalanche bowl. Snow felt unstable as we dropped in, cracking under us. We ski cut across wind slabs to get to lower angle terrain. During our ski cut, we triggered the avalanche. The avalanche that occurred was roughly 100 feet wide and 4 feet deep.
