Snowpack
As I wandered up to the ridge line in the fog from my parking spot, I dug a few hasty pits along the way. I consistently found a weaker layer 14"-20" in the snow pack that sheared cleanly with moderate hand pulls. Other than that, the pack looked and felt much more stable than the past few weeks.
