Quick report
I went for a short morning ski tour to get some exercise and have a look at the new storm snow. I left Bunny Flat at approximately 0900 and traveled up Broadway Ridge (lower Green Butte Ridge). Below tree line, I observed approximately 8-12 inches of new snow on both my ascent and descent. Near tree line in the vicinity of Gerald’s Bowl on Broadway Ridge, winds were light to moderate from the south/southeast. On lee aspects near tree line, new snow accumulation was closer to 6 inches. I dropped off the west of the ridge to have a closer look at a lee slope. On the west aspect of Broadway Ridge near tree line (8,200 ft, above Avalanche Gulch), I found 12–18 inches of wind deposited new snow at 10:30am. The new snow hardness ranged from fist to four finger resting "right side up" on the hard old snow surface. Total snow depth at this location was approximately 4 feet (1.2 meters). From there, I skied the shoulder of Sun Bowl below tree line back to the road. Ski quality was poor due to low seasonal snow coverage, with numerous shallowly buried rocks and trees encountered on the way down. I observed no signs of instability throughout.
