Had plans to ski Magnum today, and where the usual up track is at had many soft roller balls present. Dug a pit on a north aspect at 2300’: HS: 74cm Top 15cm new F strength snow with saturated snow that varied from 1F-P hardness 15cm down to 55cm down, and then 4F to the ground. Failure CTM 12 55cm down SP with facets on failure layer 1mm in size. Due to exit plan being on a north aspect, opted for plan B on Sunburst where there is still plenty of snow to be skied amongst all the tracks. Did uncover a small glide crack just above the creek crossing between Magnum and Sunburst on a North aspect as well.
