Quick report
We observed several...8-10...small to medium size fairly recent avalanches on the S face of Sunburst during a skin up to Taylor Pass today, 3/14. There was 6-8" of new snow from, I believe, the last few days. One thing I have never seen before is what appeared to be a smaller avalanche that came down and on top after the biggest one slid. It turned out to be partly sunny day with moderate temperatures. We found no signs of instability, cracks or whomping, but proceeded with caution to the pass.
