Dug a pit at 5,000ft, East aspect, 25 degree slope. About 30" of total coverage with 8"-10" of heavy wet snow on a thin ice layer with other ice/ slush layers of varying hardness beneath. ECTN11 - resistant planar @ the new snow layer (down 8") and it didn't propagate across the column. Another layer collapsed after 2 additional medium taps 12" further down (we think this was the whoomph layer that we felt a couple times but you had to really jump and stomp to feel it). Skied a short 30 degree section that made for some sloppy, mashed potato turns.
