Quick report
No formal pits today. Small (D1) storm slab avalanches x2 snowmobile triggered. A couple other natural storm slabs in steep terrain. Lots of roller ball activity on steep southerlies, including repeat offender. Total new snow was ~12" with some deeper pockets. Mostly clear skies. Winds were light and variable. Southerlies were heating up later in the day and getting sort of gloppy, though no sun crust yet. No signs of recent avalanches on the 2/14 buried surface hoar but did hear second hand about 2 human triggered avalanches yesterday. One in Lynx Creek that resulted in an injury and a second in Triangle bowl area that resulted in a partial sled burial. Definitely a cautious/ assessment mindset today and were religious about minimizing exposure to avalanche terrain and following safe travel protocols. Surface conditions are as good as they've been all season! ❄️❄️❄️

Snowmachine triggered 12" deep storm snow avalanche. 75' wide and ran 150' downslope. Weak layer appeared to be small 1-2mm surface hoar that grew on March 6/7 and was buried March 9th. bed surface was 4F.
