Quick report
Did not observe any evidence of recent avalanche activity in my view shed. Main area observed was lower Powerline Valley and N aspect of Flattop. Ski cutting of cornices and roll overs produced no results. Saw no signs of instability within my viewshed. No shooting cracks in front of skis. Did ski cutting on various cornices and rollovers with no results.

The area was exposed to a major wind event from 1/11 - 1/12/25. As a result considerable snow transport took place. Evidenced by major snow drifts multiple feet deep in lee areas. During this time winds reported to 70 mph with above freezing temps at the Glen Alps weather.
Snowpack
Snowpack quite variable depending on exposure to wind. In protected areas consisted of 2-3 inches (8cm) of new snow on top of a supportable MF crust. This made for pleasant skiing in several areas. Snow surface in areas exposed to wind consisted of breakable M/F crust. Considerable evidence of recent major wind events. Large drifts multiple feet deep in some lee areas. Ski cutting of associated rollovers and cornices produced no results. Other than in drifted areas snowpack quite thin snowpack avg 50cm in protected areas. Did quick pit at 2434ft on 27deg slope on NE aspect of Blueberry. HS = 40cm; 40-38cm F mix of broken particles and small surface hoar. 38-25cm F-P M/F crust facet sandwich. 25-0 4F layer of large facets/depth hoar (2mm). CT14@20cmQ2. ECTx
