Quick report
We hiked on dirt from Convict Lake, and when we got on snow at the top of the bench at 7am at ~8400ft, the surface was firm with a thin refreeze, despite 50+degree air temps at the car when we started. Cloud cover was few becoming broken an hour or two after the sun came up. Winds were calm to light throughout our tour. Surfaces remained firm as we skinned up Old Man’s Bowl in the sun - ski penetration only up to a few cm. We descended at 10:45, and enjoyed soft corn, albeit with some three dimensional texture in much of the bowl. We then ascended to Morrison Col, and found soft snow at 12:35 as we descended the NW facing slope at 10,900ft. We saw D1 wet loose slides coming off of both of the steep rocky sidewalls on either side. We also narrowly avoided small rockfall coming off of Mount Morrison. Ski quality decreased noticeably somewhere around 9800ft. We sideslipped a narrow band of very shmooey snow which brought us to lake level with only two short stretches of walking across dirt. There was a small wet loose slide at the bottom of the Mendenhall Couloir.

Just a couple small wet loose slides here and there. They looked to have occurred a day or two ago.
