Snow Profile - 8300ft - N/NW aspect - 33 degrees - HS 130cm - Wind S/SW high speed - Blowing Snow Intense 130 - 113 1F hard wind deposited fragments .1 mm in size 113 - 57 F to 4F hard rounding grains .5 mm in size 57-25 F to 4F hard rounding grains .5 mm in size 25 - 20 4F hard rounding facets 1 mm in size 20 - 0 1F to P hard rounding facets 1-2 mm in size CT 2 SP at bottom of wind slab (113cm from ground) ECTP 5 at bottom of winds slab Other observations: 2 slabs about 10ft x 10ft 4 inches thick kicked off and slid as I skied E/SE facing gully down from drainage notch at Aspendell. No one was buried or injured. Observed that a cornice had fallen above that same slope. Wind and blowing snow were very intense.
