As we approached the north facing chutes of lower LCC we observed multiple releases from the rocks. This one was the biggest however even the smaller ones occasionally carried blocks of denser snow with them. Weather was warm and muggy; this is likely the beginning of shedding season for the area.
While it was frustrating to have to bail on our objective there is no more apparent red flag than this when you are out touring.
