Quick report

Tour tracklog and pics posted at: https://www.strava.com/activities/11212892708 No stability concerns. So just beta for skiing, although much of the tour was just the reverse of the prior day’s tour, and hence not much to report: 1. Skis-on all the way from the NE Snowfield into Right Gully. 2. Only a trivially short walk after topping out in Left Gully to being able to skin into Airplane Bowl. 3. From Lakes hut, skied almost all the way to Central Branch, with lots of tempting terrain below my tracklog, but given the afternoon weather forecast, I wanted to be closer to the Cog before engaging in any diversions. 4. Lucked out shortly after that with a couple more snowfields that were perfect for traversing (in between hiking up and across on boulders – slow, but steady, and not all that much slower than many Presidentials hiking trails!), with the final one providing a nice descent that got me even closer to the Cog, while also ensuring that I would not end up above either of the two ski portages along the Cog up high. 5. Somehow I had convinced myself on Tuesday that Burt offered some skiable snow ribbons, but alas, according to Strava, all I could squeeze out was about 164’ vertical. Although I could have been correct on Tuesday, given that the strong afternoon sun there on Tuesday and Wednesday might have melted out the connections I had convinced myself of between the various snow ribbons.
