Quick report
The snow began to have a light to moderate zipper crust on S-SW ~8,000' from what I assume was the short amounts of sunshine today. I skied the same track yesterday, 2/19, at the same time and there was no surface crust at this elevation. Snowpit: S-SW Face @9,000' 5pm 2/20 HS 180cm ECTn down 15cm ECTn down 45cm (total of recent storm on top of crust) broke above the crust. Knife hard crust down 85cm S1 snowfall 5:30 until dark. Minimal wind at this elevation, but blowing strong on the summit.
