Observation: Catchers Mit

While ascending the last portion of the catcher's mitt & cutting across an east facing slope there were two instances that a whumpf & cracking in the snowpack occurred. Fortunately, it didn't have enough energy to generate a slide. These were the only instances of instability we noticed throughout the day for that zone, though there was a fair amount of warming taking place as the day went on, and certain terrain features had some noticeable wind loading.
