There was a little wind effect at the top of short swing (9200'), but minimal loading/slab formation. Didn't directly observe anywhere with new snow on our NSF layer

Snowpack

Instability Comment

We experienced several instances of shooting cracks up to 20 feet long while breaking trail up the northern flank of short swing around 1130am. West facing slope, and the problem seemed to be most reactive between 8-8500 feet. Failure was on the new/old interface, with the former snow surface being a thin melt freeze crust. This problem seemed to become less reactive even over the course of a few hours.
