OXO

We were a group of five that went up to OXO on Saturday Nov.23. We didn’t notice an obvious track leading into OXO so created our own. Apologies to those that followed if it wasn’t the correct way. Snow coverage in the trees were minimal. Lots of fallen trees, rocks, branches etc that wanted to grab your skis and poles. The snow was better above treeline. The Nov and October crust seemed supportive. No noticeable whumping or fracture lines when travelling. The main runs down OXO looked very inviting with the new snow coverage, but it was barely covering the rocks. Lots of scrapes and dings were experienced by everyone on the way down. We noticed another party of four travelling up higher and judging by the slow decent I would say they were experiencing the same situation. We’ll definitely be back when there is more snow
