Quick Observation
Very warm day. Mix of crust, firm and Isothermal below 1100m. Found many holes and alot of Alder. Very slow. Above 1100m snowpack became firmer half a boot to knee penetration all the way the summit. Great conditions up the super gully for step kicking and the old slide gave us confidence. Thankfully it became cloudy as the solar input was making the final summit gully soft. I measured slope angles about 25-30 generally in longer gully, steepening to 35-40 right at the top. The summit gully was 35 ish, and final 10-20m steepened up to 40-45 degrees Watch for active logging just off the highway at south main we were lucky to get through during a break (thanks guys!). Cleared 4 small trees and creatively got under a bigger one. If you are taller than a 4runner unless you own a decent gas chainsaw don't bother going.
Avalanche Information
Probably about 5-7 days old avalanche. looks like it begins as wet loose from the solar input on thin section of rocks that slid gully for 2/3 of it. This was good for us
