Quick Observation

Sluffing to sz 2 out of steep solar alpine features past 24hrs Test Pit on Dome below cleaver at 2350m, N aspect, 32 degress HS 185cm, surface form surface hoar sz 5mm, temperature "gloves off" and light w winds. CTM 14 resistant planar sheer down 55 on facets sz 1-2mm CTH 22 SC (drop) in facets below a 2cm knife hard crust down 100cm We felt a obvious low density facets felt at base of snowpack down 180cm felt by probing, we did not test this layer. Wind slabs in alpine seemed to be breaking down and faceting. Good ski quality to treeline Wolverine was spotted by 2 of our group below the cleaver.
