This slide occured minutes before our group dropped into the Jordan Canyon bowl during the Fairview Shootout on Saturday, March 31, 2012. There was a group of snowmobilers at the bottom of the hill below the debris that were just collecting themselves and assessing the damage to one of the sleds as we arrived. According to them, they had about 3 or 4 riders racing up the hill and when they crossed the slide area, it broke behind them and slid. They were unaware of the slide and when they turned around and started back down the hill, they realized what had happened but were unable to avoid the crown or the debris. One sled lost control and rolled from jumping off the crown. Nobody was buried or injured.
