Quick report
Sunny calm day. Skied NW aspects of 3 guardsmen. Guessing mid 20’s F. Several hand pits and quick shallow shear tests. Lots of variation in upper snow pack. Some areas were soft on top becoming gradually stiffer with depth, with little/no sudden changes in density in the top meter. In other areas, we found 8-15cm cohesive slab 30-45cm down with 5-10cm large facets beneath it. Sometimes the slab was easily breakable, sometimes it took hard blows to pierce with shovel.
