Little Girls

A thin crust on the surface exists up to about 2700 ft with a 35 cms slab on top of the Buried Surface Hoar. Variable surface conditions above 2700ft range from good powder to dense wind packed snow.  The upper elevation snowpack is extremely variable, but weak snow is found at the ground in most locations across our forecast areas.

Test slopes below 3000 ft where the BSH exists were stubborn to trigger but we were able to get a 30ft wide propagating slide on a 30 ft tall test slope on the Buried Surface Hoar. Above 3000 ft the storm slab was reactive on wind loaded test slopes.

Pit at 2500 ft showed no propagation on the Buried Surface Hoar.

Pit at 4500 showed a right side up snowpack sitting on top of weak snow at the ground with developed Depth Hoar 4-8mm in size on the ground. ECTX ,PST40/100end, Height of Snow-110cm
