Quick report
Snowmachined up the Gulkana glacier to go skiing. Loaded fairly heavy with 4 snowmachines each with a sled and passenger. Saw some 2 recent avalanches crowns way up in some cirque glaciers. No other signs of instability. Sunny, 25F, light N wind, 5600ft elev. Recent snowfall about 3-5". Dug a SW facing pit on a 20 degree slope the to test snowpack. Probed multiple spots and depth maxed out probe at >240cm. Was only able to dig 70 cm deep until we hit hard consolidated layer. CTX Right side up snowpack F F 4F 4F 1F 1F P
