Quick report
We enjoyed a comedic battle today with a slick crust and overhead alder. At some points today both the crust and the alder won.. but that didn't stop us from enjoying 15-30cm of dry powder. The fun was slightly dampened at the snow pit - 6000' SE HS:130 ECTP23 70cm down on facet crust combo. My crew stayed off the main attraction and enjoyed more bush bashing and lesser slope angles. Snow at the ridge line stiffened ever so much before dropping into dickey creek. We did not observe cracking or cornice development at the ridge top. We pulled off impressive feats of flexibility, and reaction time skiing down the trail back to Marion Creek TH.
