Quick report
Our tour started at 9400' and went to 10,700'. Snow depths ranged from 1 to 3 feet, more so on upper elevation slopes with wind effect. Southerly aspects are still thin and are comprised of crusts and facets. Approximately 4-6" from 2 days ago had fallen in this zone. We dug a pit on a northwest aspect at 10,600 and got an ECTP23 that failed on facets just above the ground. Some cupping noted at these large (up to 3mm), ground level facets.
Very well preserved surface hoar at pit location buried under the new snow.
One small soft slab avalanche noted on a north aspect around 10,700' that most likely ran on the new/old interface.
Surface instabilitites noted in the form of a few loose dry (small) avalanches on steep shady terrain traps along the road starting around 9000 feet. One small soft slab (D.5) noted during our ski on a north aspect around 10,700'. Snow transport observed along ridgetops.Weather

Increasing and lowering clouds throughout the day. Light winds out of the west with ridgetops gusting to moderate. We were out of the field by around 2:30.
